Vide Infra -Visual Lyrics-

This is a piece I did in my Typography class. The objective was to take a piece of writing, poetry, a quote or lyrics and express them visually with typography.

For my piece I decided to use lyrics from one of my favorite bands Killswitch Engage (when they were good that is,) and I chose the song Vide Infra from their album Alive or Just Breathing. I loved the lyrics because it talks about how we should live with one another. How our world should about more then just the difference in the color of our skins or choice of religion.

The lyric that stood out the most (of which I decided to base my piece on,) is the part where he says "We are all flesh and blood." That has always been my belief and will continue to be that.

I think the most unexpected thing about this piece is how that it's red on red, yet it's still completely readable haha!
